Al Richey is Vice President Corporate Development for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation one of the world’s largest independent oil and natural gas exploration and production companies. As head of Corporate Development he is responsible for the company’s acquisitions and divestitures and U.S. business development departments.

Mr. Richey joined Anadarko in 1987 as Treasurer was promoted to Vice President in 1995 and served as Vice President and Treasurer until 2005 when he assumed his current responsibilities. Prior to joining Anadarko he held positions in corporate planning finance and treasury with the Offshore Company a predecessor to Transocean United Energy Resources and Sandefer Oil & Gas Company.

Mr. Richey holds Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Virginia. He is a member of Financial Executives International and serves on the boards of directors of Kayne Anderson Energy Development Company the Sam Houston Area Council Boy Scouts of America the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston and the Boys & Girls Club Houston Foundation.
